The early Upper Palaeolithic artefacts found at Beedings House near Pulborough, West Sussex, are interpreted as having come from a hunting camp. The site is situated adjacent to a scarp, providing broad views across the Weald. The lithic assemblage is unique in Britain, containing one of the largest assemblages of the Lincombian-Ranisian-Jermanowician technological complex.
